Ways to contribute
๐ก Host a Station
Got rooftop access in Vietnam with a clear view of the sky? We'll help you set up an ADS-B or AIS receiver. You provide the location and internet โ we provide guidance and hardware recommendations.
Cost: ~$50โ150 USD for hardware
๐ฅ๏ธ Share Your Data
Already running readsb or AIS-catcher? Point your data feed to our aggregator and get featured on the HP Radar network with attribution.
Cost: Free
๐ฐ Sponsor a Station
Want to support the network without running hardware? Sponsor a station build. We'll name it after you or your organization and send build progress updates.
Cost: $100โ300
๐ง Code Contributions
Our entire stack is open-source. Backend (Go), frontend (HTML/CSS/JS), and infrastructure (Docker, Caddy) all welcome pull requests.
Cost: Your time
Why contribute?
๐ฐ Fill coverage gaps. Vietnam has very few public ADS-B feeders. Every new station dramatically improves tracking in Southeast Asian airspace.
๐ข Maritime safety. The Gulf of Tonkin is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world. More AIS receivers mean better vessel tracking for everyone.
๐ Open data. We believe tracking data should be free. Your contribution helps keep it that way โ no subscriptions, no paywalls.
